Acker takes on BWIA

The US and Caribbean investment team headed by ex-TWA boss Ed Acker has taken control of BWIA International Airlines. It has bought 51% of the stock for $20 million, leaving the Government with 33.5% and the employees with 15.5%. The new management is to acquire Boeing 757s and 767s.
