Lockheed Martin has been named preferred bidder to supply new tactically mobile, long-range, air-defence radar systems for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The company has teamed with Tenix Defence Systems (formerly Transfield) and RLM Systems (formerly Telstar Systems) in Melbourne to replace the ADF's outdated air-defence radars. The first system is due for delivery in mid-2000.
