Orbit Communication Systems is displaying its advanced audio and IP communications management system at the Israel Pavilion, Hall A. It is also showcasing its latest AL-4000 tracking antenna controller at the show. The AL-4000 has been designed to provide overall control of tracking antenna motion, display position and tracking data, says Orbit.
The system's touch screen interface can be customised for different applications, allowing the operators to choose the preferred display data and modes. Its dual-CPU architecture ensures real-time response for mission-critical data acquisition and supports redundant and remote interfaces via a standard SNMP interface.
Orbit's communication management system is based on a set of building blocks providing the capability to tailor a solution from commercial-off-the-shelf components for airborne applications, as well as seaborne applications, says the company.
A software configuration suite enables quick installation and reconfiguration to existing communication systems, including the ability to interface with IP-based applications.
At Aero India, Orbit is conducting live demonstrations of the IP interface, enabling the transfer of IP based data such as VoIP between the terminals, says Orbit.
