Swedish defence and security company Saab has announced at the show the establishment of a research and development centre in India.

The centre will transfer already identified programmes and technologies to India, says Saab president and CEO, Hakan Bushke.

It will be established in close cooperation with Indian partners and universities, and will focus on aerospace, defence and urban innovation including civil security, says Saab.

"The centre will form a bridge between India and Sweden, and together with an initial base of 100-300 skilled Indian engineers form the backbone of the centre," adds Bushke.
