Air Nostrum and Export Development Canada (EDC) have reached an up to C$250 million ($191 million) financing agreement for Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft.

The C$100 to C$250 million financing agreement was signed on 11 March 2016, a disclosure by the export credit agency shows.

Air Nostrum took delivery of one CRJ1000 (registration EC-MJO and MSN 19045) on 3 March, Flightglobal’s Fleets Analyzer shows. It is scheduled to take delivery of 10 more of the Bombardier regional jets through the end of 2016.

EDC guaranteed financing for Air Nostrum’s first five CRJ1000s that were delivered in 2010 and 2011. Banco Santander arranged the debt.

Air Nostrum operates five ATR 72-600s, seven Bombardier CRJ200s, 10 Bombardier CRJ900s and 12 CRJ1000s, Fleets Analyzer shows. It has firm orders for 23 CRJ1000s.
