Airbus has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Finnish company Finavitec to explore co-perative opportunities in industrial activities.

The aim is "to associate progressively" Finavitec with the consortium's development and manufacturing system, says Airbus. Finavitec and Airbus have also signed an MoU defining the participation of Finavitec in the conceptual definition of the A3XX programme. The Finnish company has focused in recent years on international co-operation, and is associated with various programmes, including the Saab 2000, the Boeing MD-80/90 and F/A-18 and the European Space Agency's XMM Satellite. It undertakes final assembly of F/A-18s for the Finnish air force.
