Aircraft registry extends to fractional operators

DATABASE Aviareto has widened the scope of the International Registry of Mobile Assets to allow fractional ownership operators to register.

The Dublin-based company operates the global database established under the Cape Town Convention and Protocol, an international treaty covering financing and leasing of airborne assets.

The registry records interests in fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and engines, giving creditors increased transparency and certainty about their rights in aircraft transactions.
