Bombardier has announced at EBACE plans to expand its global services reach, with the opening of a new line station in Dubai that will serve customers throughout the Middle East.

The airframer is opening the facility in partnership with aviation services provider Jetex and expects the site will begin providing scheduled maintenance services "in the coming months".

The Dubai facility will be Bombardier's ninth line maintenance site and will provide maintenance on Global and Challenger business jets, the company says.

Bombardier has in recent months announced several expansions of its worldwide services reach.

In February Bombardier disclosed plans to quadruple the size of its Singapore service centre, which serves as a base for Bombardier's service capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region. New Singapore hangars will open in the second half of 2020.

In October, Bombardier announced that it will open a new services centre in Miami in 2020. The site will replace one in Fort Lauderdale and double the company's services presence in Florida, it says.
