The number of commercial jets in Embraer’s backlog keeps ticking higher.
After closing several major deals in recent months the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer ended the third quarter of 2025 holding unfilled orders for 490 E-Jets, Embraer said on 21 October.
That figure is up 31% year on year and up 12% from the end of June, thanks largely to deals disclosed in September with US discounter Avelo Airlines and with LATAM Airlines Group.
Start-up Avelo on 10 September said it had ordered 50 E195-E2s, marking a major breakthrough for Embraer, which had not previously landed orders from any US carrier for either E190-E2s or E195-E2s. Avelo also took options to order another 50 of the jets.

Then on 22 September, LATAM said it had ordered 24 E195-E2s and taken options for another 50.
Embraer says it received one cancelled ordered for a single E175 in the third quarter.
The 490 orders in the company’s backlog at end-September included 200 E175s, 37 E190-E2s and 253 E195-E2s.
Embraer has since continued adding to its backlog, with Dutch regional aircraft lessor TrueNoord ordering 20 E195-E2s in October.
