Israeli flag-carrier El Al has named Levy Halevy as its next chief executive, succeeding Dina Ben Tal Ganancia.
The airline has also disclosed that its chief financial officer, Yacov Shahar, is stepping down.
Halevy is a former chief of Israel Credit Cards.
He also previously served in a number of financial and technology sector positions, at companies including Menora Mivtachim, Bank Hapoalim, and Malam Group.

El Al chair Amikam Ben Zvi says Levy brings “extensive management experience” and “deep expertise”.
“I have no doubt that…he will lead the company to new heights,” he adds.
El Al has yet to disclose a date for the transition.
It had revealed in July that Ganancia, the airline’s first female leader, had chosen to step down by the end of this year.
El Al has also named Gil Feldman, its deputy chief financial officer, as the successor to Shahar.
Shahar was appointed to the position in April 2023, having served with the airline since 2006.
Feldman will take over from Shahar on 1 December.
