Royal Air Maroc has entered an agreement with lessor Dubai Aerospace Enterprise covering the acquisition of 13 Boeing 737 Max 8 jets.
The aircraft will be delivered in 2027, the lessor states.
Royal Air Maroc had previously reached a deal to lease a pair of Max 8s from DAE. These were handed over last year.
“This agreement is fully aligned with Royal Air Maroc’s strategic ambition to become a leading global connector,” says the carrier’s chief executive, Abdelhamid Addou.
He says the Max 8s will “strengthen our network development capabilities”, allowing it to open new routes and offer more frequencies.
Royal Air Maroc also agreed last year to lease Max 8s from Irish-based Avolon.
