Middle Eastern cargo carrier SolitAir has agreed to source a pair of Boeing 737-800 freighters from World Star Aviation.
Based at Dubai World Central, the carrier describes itself as a “middle-mile” air transport company, specialising in time-sensitive express cargo.
It says the first of the 737-800s arrived in early September while the second will join the fleet in October.
“Addition of both these aircraft will significantly boost the cargo airline’s fleet and operational capabilities,” it adds.
SolitAir operates primarily within the Middle East, as well as Africa and the Indian subcontinent.

World Star Aviation is an aircraft and engine leasing firm based in the UK. It has a portfolio of both passenger and freighter models, and its aircraft are placed with over 40 operators.
It indicates that one of the airframes involved in the SolitAir agreement is MSN34014, a 737-800BDSF.
“This transaction reflects World Star Aviation’s continued commitment to providing fleet solutions that enable both established and emerging operators to execute on their growth strategies,” the company states.
