Need to know what's going on at the heart of the show? Or just get a local weather update? Tune in to 106.8FM for the live broadcasts from Farnborough Airshow Radio.

The radio station is here for its fourth straight show and will be broadcasting news, travel and weather 24h a day for the duration of the event.

Fred Marden, the station's manager as well as presenter of the Breakfast Show, is happy to be part of the "buzz and excitement" of the show. "We can broadcast live from anywhere at the site. We live and breathe aircraft this week." The radio station started up at the 1996 airshow, run by staff and students of the Farnborough College of Technology. "We still have students working here, along with a number of professional broadcasters," says Marden. "It is a fantastic place to learn."

Exhibitors who want to contribute to the radio shows, can go to www.farnboroughairshow.net and send an e-mail. Says Marden: "That's also the right address for people who cannot attend the show to listen online. Our broadcasts can be picked up everywhere in the world."
