Alaska Airlines says Aircell's Gogo in-flight Internet service is now available on its flights from Southeast Alaska north to Anchorage and Fairbanks.

The expansion means that Gogo is offered "nearly state-wide", says the airline.

"For our business travellers, especially, the ability to access e-mail and the Internet is a great benefit," it adds.

To date, some 85 Alaska aircraft have been fitted with Gogo.
