Allegiant Air will add new routes from Tulsa in Oklahoma beginning in early April.

The Las Vegas-based airline will begin year-round service to Las Vegas from 8 April, followed by seasonal service to St Petersburg-Clearwater in Florida from 7 May through 18 August, and seasonal service to Los Angeles from 5 June to 18 August.

Allegiant will operate thrice weekly to Las Vegas and twice weekly on the two seasonal routes.

“The Tulsa market has performed very well for us, and we see an opportunity to provide the community with even more affordable travel options,” says Jude Bricker, Allegiant's senior vice-president of planning.

Allegiant will end Southwest Airlines' monopoly on the Tulsa-Las Vegas route, schedules in Innovata show. It will be the only airline operating on the other routes.
