AMRAAM Proposal

The US Department of Defense is discussing a proposal to offer Japan licence production of the Hughes AIM-120 AMRAAM active-guided air-to-air missile. The AMRAAM is offered against the locally developed Mitsubishi XAAM-4 medium-range missile, to equip Japan's fleet of F-15J fighters.
