Rescuers in Russia have found four survivors from 14 occupants of an Antonov An-28 that crashed in the far eastern region of Kamchatka.
The aircraft had been operating on the route from Yelizovo, near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, north to Palana.
Russia’s emergency situations ministry says the aircraft, with 12 passengers and two crew members, failed to arrive at its appointed time.
The aircraft came down 6km from Palana on 12 September. The ministry has not identified the operator.
“Circumstances of the accident will be ascertained by investigating authorities,” says the ministry.
It confirms 10 fatalities while four of those on board were found by rescuers to have sustained moderate to severe injuries.
