British Airways has announced a major management reshuffle. Alistair Cummings becomes chief operating officer and director of profit development and is replaced as managing director British Airways Engineering by Clive Mason. Charles Gurassa becomes director of passenger business, David Holmes assumes the post of director corporate resources and Roger Maynard becomes director of investment and acquisitions. John Patterson is appointed director of strategy and Peter White becomes director of sales.

Swissair has named four of the five department heads of its newly created airline division. They are: Stefan Egli (network management), Ernst Funk (sales), Beat Schär flight operations), and Alex Kaufmann (human resources).

P F Hartman has succeeded R G van Groenewoud as KLM's executive vice president engineering and maintenance. C van Woudenberg becomes executive vice president personnel/organisation.

Herbert Bammer, president of Austrian Airlines, has been named chairman of the Association of European Airlines for 1996.

Michael R Carreon becomes vice president and controller and Stephen L Johnson senior vice president legal affairs at America West Airlines.

Chris Nassenstein has been named vice president, technical operations at Air Canada.

US cargo carrier Atlas Air has named Donald Hickey as vice president of marketing.

Air Malta has appointed George Vella as its first head North America in New York.
