Arinc is appearing at the Dubai airshow for the first time but is planning on staying a lot longer than most exhibitors.
The Maryland-based company, which can be found on the Inmarsat stand in the East Hall, plans to open a new customer service office in Dubai.
The dedicated office in the Airport Free Zone (on the opposite side of the runway from the Dubai 2003 site) will support Arinc's aviation and airport clients in the Middle East and Africa, as well as help boost the company's business expansion plans.
"We recognise a need to work closely with our current customers and the many new prospects in this fast-growing region," says John Belcher, Arinc's president and chief executive. "With a dedicated office and staff at Dubai we will now be able to focus locally and deliver a high level of customer attention and support."
Major player
Paul Fennelly, new head of the Dubai operation, says the plan underlines Arinc's commitment to the Middle Eastern region. "We look forward to developing our business relationships with airlines, airports, and air traffic control throughout the Middle East," he says.
Arinc is a major player in transportation communications and systems engineering. The company was founded to provide reliable and efficient radio communications for airlines but today develops and operates communications and information processing systems and provides systems engineering and integration solutions to five key industries: airports, aviation, defence, government, and surface transportation.
It has offices or representation in a number of cities including Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Paris, Zurich, Krakow and London.
