The highlight of its stand at Le Bourget is ballistic helicopter armour that offers protection for floor, seat, wall and door from threats up to 0.5in armour-piercing ammunition. As well as being available for the Mil Mi-17 helicopter it has armour systems for the Blackhawk, Chinook, Bell 205, Puma and Super Alouette.
It is also showcasing armoured seats that protect pilots and crew from a range of threats from 7.62mm to 12.7mm APM2 armour-piercing rounds.
For transport and cargo aircraft Plasan Sasa has several applications for the Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules family, including lightweight add-on armour kits.
Its light Add-on-Armor system includes fragment suppression materials and provides liquid oxygen bottles for crew, paratrooper doors and loadmaster seat protection from small arms ground fire.
