GEC-Marconi Electro-Optics said yesterday at the show that it welcomes the Royal Netherlands Air Force's decision to recommend procurement of 60 of its Atlantic Navigation FLIR pods.
Following a year-long competition, the Atlantic met both performance and cost criteria to provide 24-hour, all-weather operational capability for Dutch F-16 mid-life update aircraft.
A final decision to procure is expected to be ratified by the Netherlands Parliament in October.
