Austrian Airlines has taken delivery of the two Airbus Industrie A340s it ordered in 1991. They are the carrier's first ultra-long-range aircraft, and will be used on direct routes from Vienna to Tokyo, Johannesburg and Beijing. Delivery was delayed by around a year.
