AvAtlantic has been forced to stop flying after having its air-carrier certificate revoked by the US Federal Aviation Administration for alleged safety violations. The Savannah, Georgia-based company operated charter flights and wet-leases for other carriers, using seven Boeing 727s. The FAA charges that AvAtlantic improperly trained flight attendants and improperly performed or deferred maintenance. The certificate suspension will remain in place until AvAtlantic "-satisfactorily demonstrates that it can comply with the Federal Aviation Regulations," says the US agency.
