Avolon has adopted Rolls-Royce’s LifeKey service, aimed at increasing flexibility for customers of the manufacturer’s LessorCare aftermarket support programme.

LifeKey was introduced in 2018 to replace R-R’s operating lessor engine restoration agreement (OPERA), with Jackson Square Aviation and CDB Aviation disclosed in November as customers for the new service.

The UK engine maker predicts that all lessors using OPERA will gradually adopt LifeKey. It says that LifeKey improves services in terms of "greater visibility, accessibility, portability and liquidity".

Avolon’s head of OEM team, Paul Geaney, states that the Irish lessor – a launch customer for LessorCare – is "very pleased" about the adoption of LifeKey as the scheme provides "significant security enhancements" and adding that compared with other OEMs, R-R is at the "forefront" of developing products that address the needs of the leasing industry.
