British Airways will next spring begin service from London Gatwick to Marrakech in Morocco.

BA will operate the service thrice-weekly from 27 March, using a combination of Airbus A319s and Boeing 737s.

The carrier used to serve Marrakech through its former franchise partner GB Airways, until GB Airways was acquired by EasyJet in 2008.

BA will compete directly on the route with low-cost carriers Atlas Blue and EasyJet.
