Global Wings has selected Osaka Kansai as its Japanese operating base. The Japanese company currently offers charters within, to and from China using a Learjet 45XR operated by Air China. CEO Tak Masamura says Global Wings plans to begin offering charters within, to and from Japan in January after it takes delivery of a second Learjet 45XR. It plans to operate this aircraft on its own and Masamura selected Kansai over Nagoya Komaki and Kobe airports because Osaka is a bigger city. Masamura says Kansai and Global Wings are discussing jointly opening a fixed based operation at the airport.
