BOMBARDIER SAYS that increased deliveries in all its sectors, including aerospace, resulted in a 22% increase in consolidated revenues and a 26% rise in net income for the third quarter, compared with the same period in 1996.
The Canadian company has yet to detail the performance of individual sectors, but says that increased deliveries of Canadair Regional Jets, de Havilland Dash 8 regional turboprops and Learjet business aircraft generated higher profits in its aerospace division.
Net income for the third quarter (which ended 31 October) was C$73 million ($54 million) on consolidated revenues of C$1.6 billion, compared with C$58 million and C$1.3 billion respectively for the same period in 1994.
For the nine months ended 31 October, revenues were up by more than 21%, to C$4.4 billion, and income was up by almost 24% to C$204 million.
