BOEING HAS REVEALED orders for a total of nine 737s from Chinese and Danish carriers, together worth over $300 million.
Shandong Airlines of China has ordered 737-300 passenger aircraft, worth a total of $120 million with spares and training. The Jinan-based carrier will take the first in December and the other two in January and August 1996.
The three 737s, configured for 149 seats, will enable Shandong to expand its services to 60 flights a week to ten destinations in China. The 12-month-old airline now operates four routes, using a single Xian Y-7-100.
Maersk Air has ordered six 737-500s, with options on seven. Deliveries will start early in 1996 and continue throughout the year.
