Boeing Defence Australia has won an Australian dollar $20 million ($21 million) contract to paint the Royal Australian Air Force fleet.
The three-year deal covers "surface finishing services", Boeing said in a statement.
"The contract, worth approximately A$20 million, involves preparing, remediating and painting Lockheed Martin AP-3C Orion, C-130H Hercules, Boeing F/A-18 Hornet and BAE Hawk-127 aircraft across multiple locations in Australia and New Zealand," the statement added.
From 2013, RAAF Williamtown will be the primary facility for painting F/A-18 Hornets, while RAAF Amberley will focus on the Hawk-127s.
Air New Zealand, a supplier to Boeing Defence Australia, will conduct the paint finishing for the AP-3C Orion at Christchurch.Another supplier, Flying Colours Aviation, will paint Australia's C-130H aircraft at Townsville in North Queensland.
