Britannia Airways has begun operating its first Airbus aircraft, with the introduction of three A320s on wet-lease from Irish carrier TransAer. The three aircraft have been leased to operate regional charter services from UK airports such as Belfast, Bristol, Leeds/Bradford and London Stansted to European holiday destinations. Britannia has an all-Boeing fleet of Boeing 757s and 767s, but is evaluating Airbus types for its future needs.
