Belgian carrier Brussels Airlines has entered into a maintenance contract with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) Malta for its services on the carrier's fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft.

Under the agreement, LHT Malta will provide C-checks for the carrier's five A330 aircraft.

In addition, the maintenance firm will provide a full cabin retrofit of the aircraft starting in February 2012.

The cabin refurbishment program for Brussels Airlines includes the installation of a completely new cabin with a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system in all classes, added LHT.

The partners are currently in negotiations about further maintenance services for Airbus A319/A320 aircraft, LHT said.
