SERVICE ENTRY
DELIVERY Dassault has delivered the first Falcon 2000DX business jet to an undisclosed US-based customer. The aircraft, a shorter-range derivative of the 2000EX, replaces the Falcon 2000 in the Dassault line-up. The French airframer launched the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C-powered 2000DX in late 2005 and clinched European and US approval for the large-cabin aircraft two years later. Operating costs are estimated to be 5% less than that of the Falcon 2000 and has been developed for customers with less-extensive city-pair requirements, says Dassault.
SUPERSONIC REP
Aerion has appointed Aero Toy Store as a factory-authorised representative for its supersonic business jet. Aero Toy Store says it has agreed "in principle" to sell 12 aircraft. "Interest from our customers in this new-generation private jet has been extremely strong and we've only just begun to introduce this aircraft to a fragment of the market," says Aero Toy Store chief executive Morris Shirazi.
LONDON OFFICE
Business aircraft charter and management company ExecuJet has opened an aircraft handling, operations and sales base at London City Airport. The company received its UK air operators certificate in February and has taken delivery of a managed Dassault Falcon 900 business jet which will be available for charter. A second long-range aircraft will be added to the fleet at the end of the month.
