Canada 3000 files lawsuit against Royal dispute Canada 3000 has filed a C$45 million ($30 million) lawsuit against two former Royal Aviation executives and a holding company alleging they overstated the financial position of Royal days before the two airlines merged in March. Canada 3000 alleges Michel Leblanc, Roland Blais and Groupe Royal Aviation, a holding company controlled by Leblanc, overstated Royal's pre-tax profit and profit projections by C$20.2 million for the third and fourth quarters of fiscal year 2001. Leblanc, Royal's former chairman who left Canada 3000 in June, says he will contest the lawsuit.
