Cathay Pacific Airways has placed firm orders for three more Airbus A330-300s and three more Boeing 777-300s. The Oneworld alliance carrier says all six Rolls-Royce-powered aircraft are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2004. The airline says that "current conditions in the supply market make this an attractive time to purchase new aircraft". Cathay also plans to bring back into service four passenger aircraft from five that have been parked following the post-11 September downturn.
