A Bombardier Challenger 600 business jet with 11 people on board overran a runway on 2 February while attempting to take off from Teterboro airport, New Jersey, says the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). One pilot was seriously hurt. The 25-year-old Challenger (N370V), operated by DDH Aviation, was bound for Chicago Midway airport. Visibility with a clear sky was 15km (8nm) and temperature was -11¼C (20¼F). The aircraft had been parked on the ramp overnight and began its take-off at about 07:00. It overran runway 06, went through the perimeter fence, crossed a highway hitting vehicles, and came to rest embedded in a warehouse. The cockpit voice recorder indicated a decision to "discontinue the take-off" and the thrust reversers were deployed, says the NTSB. Witnesses reported seeing no frost on the Challenger.
