Chinese airlines have ordered 35 Embraer E190 aircraft, say reports quoting the airframer's CEO Frederico Curado.
Curado, who is part of a delegation accompanying Brazil's president Dilma Rousseff to China, did not name the airlines that will receive the aircraft but said deliveries will begin by 2012, say the reports.
When contacted, an Embraer China spokeswoman could not confirm Curado's remarks.
Embraer, which has an ERJ-145 final assembly line in Harbin in China. is also planning to switch to production of Legacy business jets after the last ERJ-145 is produced this year, say reports.
