German charter provider Cirrus Aviation has become one of the first European operators of the Bombardier Global Express XRS ultra-long range business jet, taking delivery late last month.
The aircraft, which has a range of 11,300km (6,100nm), is part of Cirrus’s expansion strategy to add transatlantic capacity. The company, with subsidiaries in Luxembourg, Switzerland and the UK, has 13 business jets and is expecting further deliveries of a Global 5000, two Bombardier Challenger 300s, a Bombardier Learjet 40 and one Embraer ERJ-145 Legacy during 2006.
