Independent Irish airline CityJet has emerged from bankruptcy protection, clearing the way for a financial restructuring which includes the injection of ú4 million ($6.5 million) of fresh capital. Malmö Aviation of Sweden is to take a 42% stake in the carrier. Both airlines operate flights from London City Airport using British Aerospace 146s. CityJet now has five aircraft and plans to concentrate on the London City-Dublin route, on which it is scheduled to increase daily return flights to eight from March.
