British Airways and KLM have revealed they are talking to each other, and to other carriers, about co-operation in what BA describes as "these exceptional times". The moves come in light of the European Commission saying it will consider capacity co-ordination deals on a case-by-case basis as part of its package of emergency measures for air transport. For now, the airline talks are aimed at areas like codesharing rather than greater moves towards consolidation.
