Northrop Grumman is to build four RQ-4B Global Hawk unmanned air vehicles under the US Air Force's $202 million low-rate initial production Lot 3 contract, including one with an enhanced sensor suite and clip-in hyperwide sensor. A further $50.7 million award covers long-lead items for four Lot 4 air vehicles. Lockheed Martin has received a $325 million contract to develop block upgrades for the US Air Force's C-130J transport aircraft. Westland Helicopters has received a contract to produce replacement composite horizontal stabilators for the British Army's 67 Apache AH1 attack helicopters. Rockwell Collins has won a $79.5 million system development and demonstration contract for Block I avionics and communications enhancements to the US Navy's Boeing E-6B Mercury command post aircraft. BAE Systems is to produce 13 advanced threat infrared countermeasures systems and 40 additional common missile warning systems under a $25.3 million US Army contract. FLIR Systems is to supply Star Safire III thermal-imaging systems for the Royal Australian Air Force's Lockheed Martin AP-3C Orion fleet under a $7 million deal. Canada's Acro Aerospace is to maintain dynamic components on Canadian Forces Sikorsky CH-124 Sea Kings under a C$36.5 million ($27 million)contract. Raytheon is to supply the first 30 of up to 56 APQ-174B multi-mode radars for US Army special operations aircraft under a $26.7 million contract. The company will also demonstrate an AGM-65 Maverick air-to-surface missile with a lock-on- after-launch capability provided by Israel's Tadiran Spectralink under a $5.4 million contract awarded by the US Air Force Research Laboratory. Raytheon has also won a $25.4 million fixed-price foreign military sales deal to supply Singapore with 50 AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles. L-3's Coleman Research is to produce additional suborbital rockets for use as targets by the US Missile Defense Agency under a $50 million contract.
