All 11 west African heads of state involved in debt-ridden carrier Air Afrique are to meet again in Brazzaville, Congo, on 10 August to discuss recent financial overtures made to Air France.

The pan-African carrier has been holding crisis talks with the French Government and Air France, which has a 12.7% stake in Air Afrique.

A source close to Air Afrique says that Air France is not keen on contributing financially, but is prepared to send 15 executives to take up senior positions in the airline.

Senegal President Abdoulay Wade and Laurent Gbagbo of the Ivory Coast recently met representatives of Air France to discuss the crisis, but precise details of the discussions are as yet unknown.
