Dasa cuts

Daimler-Benz Aerospace will shed 8,800 jobs by 1998 in a bid to cut mounting losses exacerbated by the strength of the Deutsche mark. The cuts do not include Fokker and mainly target Dasa's Airbus factories at Hamburg and Bremen.
