Delta failure

The failure of one of nine solid-rocket boosters to separate from a McDonnell Douglas Delta 2 first stage after launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on 5 August caused the placement of the Koreasat 1 communications satellite into a lower-than-planned geostationary transfer orbit.
