Your editorial (Flight International, 14-20 May) suggests that Flight International knows very little about Deutsche BA.
We are not British Airways in Germany, we have always been a standalone carrier with an air operator's certificate in Germany. We have never been "resistant to change" - we have in fact recently changed our business model to a low-cost principal. So we are already structured as a low-cost carrier with a lean and mean administration. There is also no talk about "having overheads" in our company.
The management of Deutsche BA welcomes this move with EasyJet as we expect a further growth of routes in Germany to result from it.
