The first of two ex-US Navy Lockheed Martin C-130H transports acquired by the Royal Netherlands Air Force via Derco Aerospace has been shipped to the UK for overhaul by Marshall Aerospace.

Although most of the load was crated up, the aircraft’s 31.4m (103ft)-long, 4.9m-wide fuselage was transported as one piece, with a total weight of 55t.
The second Dutch aircraft will be transported to Cambridge later this month.

Korea Aerospace Industries has secured a W93 billion ($64.5 million) contract to upgrade 11 FA-50PH light attack jets operated by the Philippines air force, with work running until 2029 to enhance munitions capabilities and network integration.
The US Air Force funding will cover integration and testing of the Rolls-Royce F130 powerplant on two B-52H aircraft, marking significant milestone in the effort to modernise the Cold War-era bomber for service into the 2060s.
South Korea has committed W3.4 trillion ($3.4 billion) to develop an indigenous fighter engine producing 24,000lb thrust with afterburners, with the programme running from 2027 to 2040 and targeting the KF-21 Block 3 variant.
