Eclipse Aviation and Hampson Aerospace have reached "a full and final settlement of all claims and disputes", the companies announced on 22 January.

In November, Hampson, maker of the tail assemblies for the Eclipse 500 very light jet, had filed a legal complaint against Eclipse, alleging the company had "overreached" its production estimates and had failed to make certain payments called for in the contract between the two.

Eclipse had countered that the contract itself was non-binding due to "fraud" - a reference to alleged quality issues with Hampson's deliverables to Eclipse.

Terms of the settlement, or whether Eclipse's recent award of more than $200 million in long-term financing played a role, were not revealed.
