EDO has added major new capability to its Modular Advanced Lightweight Training System (MALTS) practice-bomb carrier which is on display for the first time at Farnborough (Hall 2, A11).
The system is now able to carry Laser Guided Training Rounds (LGTR) to provide a complete air-to-ground weapon training system.
The MALTS family of two-, four- and six-station carriers provides practice bombing capability on any tactical aircraft.
Requiring only an annual service check, MALTS employs easily maintained release units which eliminates the need for frequent, time-consuming cycles of removal, strip-down and cleaning.
