Your report on the EgyptAir 990 crash investigation (Flight International 26 March-1 April) overlooked a rather salient point that objectively invalidates Egyptian criticism of the NTSB at a stroke.
At 01.50.21-01.50.23, while established in the dive with the elevators in a split condition, the engine start switches were moved from "run" to "cut-off" with no abnormalities being exhibited by those engines.
What QRH or other procedure calls for such action, anywhere?
This glaring omission by the Egyptian ECAA completely shatters any credibility it hoped to gain by its criticism of the unbiased and objective NTSB report.
