Emirates services to the USA are no longer affected by a ban on electronic devices, after the US-imposed restriction was eased.

Dubai had been among the 10 airports to which the ban had applied. Emirates passengers on nonstop US-bound services were not permitted to take large electronic devices into the cabin.

But Dubai airport's operator stated on 5 July that the ban had been lifted, "effective immediately".

Emirates operates to 11 destinations in the USA.

Abu Dhabi airport's operator had previously disclosed that its US-bound flights were no longer subjected to the ban owing to validation of its US pre-clearance system.
