Eva Air of Taiwan has formally signed a contract to purchase six McDonnell Douglas MD-90s. The previously announced deal calls for the delivery of the first aircraft in October 1996 and the final two by the first quarter of 1997.

United Airlines expects to take delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR in January 2026, at which point the long-range narrowbody jets will start replacing United’s ageing Boeing 757s.
